Olam International is an agri-business company, operating in 60 countries and supplying food and industrial raw materials to over 20,900 customers worldwide, placing them among the world’s largest suppliers of cocoa beans, coffee, cotton, nuts, and rice. Its value chain includes farming, origination, processing and distribution operations, child labor, and allegedly even child slavery.

Within the partnership Olam International has opened a factory and an operational presence in Zugdidi, Georgia, through its subsidiary Olam Progıda. The company operates as a food and agri-business, supplying various agricultural commodities.

The plant has 50 employees. The company plans to produce 300 tons of finished products annually. The products are exported to the states of the European Union.
